Bio:
Cornell “Big Corn” Bethea got his start in radio back in the 1990’s when he won a contest at WGCI-FM in Chicago.
As a prize he got to co-host the nightly slow jam show called "Whispers In The Dark”. He did such a great job that the program director hired him to fill in whenever the principal talent was off.
Corn did that for years filling in for Troi Tyler and Dr. Al Greer until the station changed their format to Hip-Hop and the show was discontinued.
Years later Dr. Al Greer start WOSDradio.com an internet radio station based in Chicago and approached Corn about doing a Smooth Jazz show on the station.
Corn happily accepted and in February of 2020 The Smooth Jazz Cafe was born and quickly became a very popular show with listeners worldwide.
Corn has also had the pleasure of interviewing some of the biggest names in Smooth Jazz on the show.
The Smooth Jazz Cafe w/Big Corn broadcast on Sunday nights at 9:00pm CST now simultaneously on two internet radio stations.
